Stargazing

Free: $2 per car parking.


Come join Cantigny Park and the Naperville Astronomical Association (NAA) for a night out with the stars! View planets and stars through various telescopes and learn how to identify star constellations with the naked-eye.

Children will enjoy making a craft in the Visitors Center to take home (while supplies last.) Viewing will take place on the Parade Field outside of the Visitors Center. 
  • ​7-9 pm: Paint your own Star and Moon Suncatcher | Visitors Center
  • 7:30-8 pm: "Recognizing the constellations: a family-friendly presentation" | Visitors Center Theater
  • 8-8:30 pm: "Choosing Your First Telescope" | Visitors Center Theater
  • 7:30-10:30 pm: Stargazing | Parade Field
Highlights of the night will be Mars, Saturn and the Moon.

Please bring a lawn chair or blanket.
The event will be held rain or shine.
