Parenting Book Club

Are you wanting to get a handle on this "gifted" thing, so you can understand and manage your family better?  Do you read parenting books and need to discuss how they apply to you or whether they do? Would you like an evening away occasionally to reflect on the challenges of parenting gifted children?  Perhaps a Parenting Book group is the answer.

We are starting a parenting book group in Westmont. The plan is to meet one evening a month, more or less, to discuss different books or articles that are of interest to the group.  Come to all the discussions, or come to only those that specifically pertain to you.  Read the book in depth, skim it, or take a look at the cover on Amazon before your run out the door!  The objective is to use the book to frame the discussion with other parents who face the same kinds of parenting challenges you do!

We'll start with Sally Y. Walker's The Survival Guide for Parents of Gifted Kids on October 29. It is short, easy read and pertains to all gifted parents.  Click here to register for the October session.
