We meet one evening a month, more or less, to discuss different books or articles that are of interest to the group.  Come to all the discussions, or come to only those that specifically pertain to you.  Read the book in depth, skim it, or take a look at the cover on Amazon before your run out the door!  The objective is to use the book to frame the discussion with other parents who face the same kinds of parenting challenges you do!

This month's book is

"A Forgotten Voice,"

A Biography of Leta Stetter Hollingworth

by Ann G. Klein

Leta Stetter Hollingworth was one of the earliest psychologists to research and write about extremely bright children. She is often called "the mother of gifted education."

Upcoming meetings:

September 22: "And the skylark sings with me. Adventures in Homeschooling and Community-Based Education," by David H. Albert

October 20: "Searching for Meaning. Idealism, Bright Minds, Disillusionment and Hope," by James T. Webb, Ph.D.
