CGCC Curiosity Hacked

Guild 24 - Oak Park

Curiosity Hacked is a national nonprofit organization that focuses on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) education, skill building and community engagement with the aspiration to help children develop skills in the areas they are truly interested in, abilities that would allow them to dream big and create big. Curiosity Hacked has guilds located around the country. CGCC is happy to include Guild 24 - Oak Park as part our community.

Elaine Luther and Aaron Wilson-Alstrum are our organizing volunteers along with a teen helper. Each family takes a turn in running a meeting with Elaine providing support and guidance to help choose an activity and to find resources. Past activities have included learning to program with Arduino, soldering electronic kits, and completing design/build challenges. Participants can earn badges from Adafruit.com and DIY.com. Some badges we will be working on this year: animator, printmaker and more.
