Shakespearean Table Reads

William Shakespeare comes alive in this non-performance-based look at the works of Shakespeare. Join Mr. Kevin and Mr. Rick for discussions on a variety of different Shakespeare plays, featuring a table read of some text from each play. In this class, we'll be learning about some great classic literature, how to understand the heightened language of Shakespeare's plays, and the styles in which his plays were written.

Ages 9 and Up (Under 9 can be considered with communication and approval from instructor)

Class size (min/max): 4/10

Lead Instructor: Kevin Johnson from EDGE Theatre NFP

Assistant Instructor:  Rick Olson from EDGE Theatre NFP

Cost: $140

NOTES:  While we love having younger students with us that want to explore Shakespeare, Reading is required for this class.   We can help with tough words but must be willing to read and read aloud.   Bring paper and pencil as we may explore Shakespeare’s writing styles some weeks by writing ourselves.

Multi-Sibling Discount-  If two siblings sign up for the same class, first student is $140, second student is $119

Multi-Class Discount-  For a student in more than one EDGE class.  The first class is $140, all additional classes are $119

Email logyc@chicagogiftedcommunity.org; discount will be manually applied.
