WHO WE ARE
CGCC is a hub of support for the gifted community enabling people to:
HOW TO GET STARTED
A great place to start are the parent suppers to make connections in your local area. Together you can identify the needs you want to address. Is it a kids game day or book club, a parenting 101 presentation or a parenting gifted series?
We will mentor you through the process! We facilitate events by providing registration, payment handling, marketing and communications, a network of gifted families and professionals, and event insurance. Furthermore, we can advise, support, and connect you with those who might have experience in what you are wanting to organize or maybe would be interested in organizing with you.
See below for some events organized by our members to get ideas for activities you want near you.
Adam Schmitt, author of Speechless - September 9
Students and their parents are invited to the Vanguard Gifted Academy in Batavia for a discussion with the author of Speechless, Adam Schmitt, about the process of writing, editing, marketing and publishing books. Bring your questions!
Adam P. Schmitt has lived outside of Chicago his entire life. He currently lives in Oswego, IL, where the race of suburbia meets the quiet of farm country.
A special thank you to Vanguard Gifted Academy for hosting this event and for their ongoing support of CGCC.
