Vanguard is a new independent elementary school, grades k-8, with a new educational model designed especially for gifted children.
Description of Experience with the Gifted
Our faculty each has nearly 20 years of experience teaching gifted children. The Head of School has a Master's Certificate in gifted education from Northwestern University and a Master's in curriculum and instruction from National Louis University.She regularly presents at NAGC and IAGC. Our Master Teacher has a gifted endorsement from the state of Illinois.

The Chicago Gifted Community Center (CGCC) is a member-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created by parents to support the intellectual and emotional growth of gifted children and their families.

We  are an all volunteer-based organization that relies on annual memberships from parents, professionals, and supporters to provide organizers with web site operations, a registration system, event insurance, background checks, etc.
