Revolutionary War Reenactment

Parade Field and Polo Field


Join Cantigny and The North West Territory Alliance for a two-day Revolutionary War Reenactment and Encampment.  Get a feel for camp life, experience a battle and enjoy the sights and sounds of the 18th century.  See below for the schedule for Saturday, September 8.


10:00 am – Morning Formation (Colors) (in military camp)
10:30 am – Morning Battle Demonstration (parade field)
11:00 am – Demonstration of Women’s sidesaddle riding (cavalry military camp)
11:20 am – Demonstration of battle tactics of cavalry (cavalry military camp)
12:00 pm – Children’s Battle (military camp)
12:30 pm – Individual Tomahawk and Bayonet Competitions (military camp)
And Women’s Frying Pan Toss
1:00 pm – Fashion Show: featuring soldiers uniform and civilian clothing (military camp)
2:00 pm – Tim Hess bagpipes, ask a musician (military camp)
2:30 pm – Artillery Demonstration (Parade field)
3:00 pm – Battle Demonstration and Colors to follow immediately (parade field)
4:00 pm – End of Reenactment for the day


Cost: Parking: $10 per car
