Book Discussion:

Perfectionism

Perfectionism can be a great attribute when you are creating a masterpiece, but it can cause severe problems, such as underachievement, procrastination and a feeling that your work can never measure up to your own expectations! The unhealthy side of perfectionism plagues many gifted individuals.  Come discuss perfectionism with other parents of gifted children.

We all lead busy lives, if you are interested in the subject, please join us for the discussion. If you are interested in reading up on the subject, try one of the following books:

Perfectionism: A Practical Guide to Managing "Never Good Enough” by Lisa van Gemert

Moving Past Perfect: How Perfectionism May Be Holding Back Your Kids… by Tom Greenspon

Perfectionism: What's Bad About Being Too Good? by Miriam Adderholdt and Jan Goldberg

Registration is required for this free event. If you wish a donation may be made during registration or in cash at the studio to support the venue. Please consider joining CGCC to help us make these and other events possible. Annual membership is $25. Fee waivers are available, contact Newenka DuMont for more details.
