November 3 LEGO Robotics

 Explore the exciting world of robotics through hands-on building and programming! Younger students will work with a partner to build and program a WeDo robot. Older students will work with a partner to design and program a Mindstorms robot. Chicago Stuart Building SB111


November 10 Engineering Challenges 

Can you design, create, and test your handiwork on the spot? Take on three engineering challenges using basic household materials. Work cooperatively with a group as you plan, construct, check, adjust, and retest for success! Chicago Stuart Building SB111


November 17 Geometry and Architecture 

How do architects use geometry in their work? Discover the vital role of geometry as you build your own structures, incorporating geometry in both their design and structural soundness. Chicago Wishnick Hall 115


December 1 Dry Ice Science 

Do you know what dry ice is and why it “disappears”? Work with your peers to explore its amazing properties. Experiment with balloons, metals, water, soap, and even make dry ice bubbles you can hold! Chicago Stuart Building SB111
