The Complex, Contradictory, Creative, Captivating, Crushing World of the Gifted Adult

Paula Prober will use her book, Your Rainforest Mind: A Guide to the Well-Being of Gifted Adults and Youth, to explain giftedness in adults. She’ll share excerpts, stories, strategies, resources, and her own journey from wallflower to TAG teacher to psychotherapist, consultant, tango dancer, blogger, and author. Topics covered include: perfectionism, loneliness, multipotentiality, career choices, sensitivity, empathy, social responsibility, authenticity, and the Argentine tango.

About Paula Prober

Paula Prober is a licensed psychotherapist, consultant, author, and blogger in private practice in Eugene, Oregon. She consults internationally with gifted adults and parents of gifted children. Her book, Your Rainforest Mind: A Guide to the Well-Being of Gifted Adults and Youth, was released in June 2016. She blogs at Your Rainforest Mind, a blog in support of the excessively curious, creative, smart, and sensitive. Her articles have appeared in Psychotherapy NetworkerAdvanced Development Journal, and online with Introvert DearHighly Sensitive RefugeThrive Global, and Rebelle Society. Before becoming a therapist, Paula was a TAG teacher in public schools and a teacher trainer. She continues to present on giftedness at universities, conferences, and webinars.
