Suggested ticketed donation for nonmembers

Join the OI for a weekend of screenings and special events celebrating UChicago's most famous fictional student, Indiana Jones, the character thought to be inspired by our own archaeologists James Henry Breasted and Robert Braidwood. In addition to screenings, this two-day event includes a panel of archaeologists, faculty introductions, a conversation on pop culture and archaeology, an Indy films costume contest, and a reception.

The schedule below will be updated as events are added:

  • Friday, October 11, 7 PM, Raiders of the Lost Ark, 35mm screening! Location: Doc Films, Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th St. Chicago, IL 60637
  • Saturday, October 12, 3 PM, Temple of Doom. Location: Breasted Hall, OI, 1155 E. 58th St. Chicago, IL 60637
  • Saturday, October 12, 7:30 PM, The Last Crusade, 30th anniversary screening! Location: Breasted Hall, OI, 1155 E. 58th St., Chicago, IL 60637.

A discussion on pop culture will occur on Friday night and panel discussions will occur between the films on Saturday. Indy films costume contest will take place on Saturday prior to the screening of The Last Crusade.

PLEASE NOTE: Friday events will take place in Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th St. Saturday events will take place at the OI, 1155 E. 58th St.

OI Members and UChicago students can register for free. Nonmembers: screening of Raiders at DOC films will require a full priced ticket ($7 nonmembers) or a two-day pass. Suggested donation ticketing for Saturday is required for pre-registration. Suggested donation and pay what you like tickets available at the door on Saturday will be subject to availability . Pre-registration can be purchased or reserved for the entire weekend, a double feature on Saturday only, or each film individually. OI member and UChicago Student registration will require member cards, current status, or student IDs for entry. Visa and Mastercard are accepted for non member pre-registration. Your ticket will allow you access to each panel and event offered on the date.
