Northern Illinois University presents: Teen STEM Cafe

Why are kids across the world suing their governments about climate? How does climate change affect young people, and what can you do about it?

Join us for videos and activities to find out:

  • What does the climate look like now, and what is the 10-year outlook?
  • What alternative energies are available?
  • How are young people around the world fighting climate change?

Featuring:

  • TED talk by teen environmental activist Greta Thunberg and discussions with NIU experts:
  • Ross Powell, Professor, Department of Geology and Environmental Geosciences
  • Kevin Martin, Associate Professor, College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, Institute for the Study of the Environment, Sustainability and Energy
