2e Movie Screening & Panel Discussion

Join us for a free informative presentation for parents. The term “twice-exceptional,” also referred to as “2e,” is used to describe children who are both gifted and also have one or more disabilities, including ADHD, anxiety, mild ASD, dyslexia or others. These children have amazing potential but often struggle in school. If you have a 2e student or would like to learn more about 2e, join us as we screen a 1-hour documentary about twice-exceptional children and then open up a discussion about the unique challenges of parenting and teaching these amazing kids.

Three local experts will lead our discussion:

• Dr. Ann Weller, Licensed Child and Adolescent Psychologist and the owner of Plum Tree Psychology, Ltd. in St. Charles

• Dr. Susan Sokolinski, retired educator and gifted advocate from Batavia Public Schools

• Elizabeth Blaetz, M.Ed., Head of School at Vanguard Gifted Academy
