Winter Survival Science Funshop!

Illinois Math and Science Academy, 1500 Sullivan Rd. Aurora, IL 60506

Grades 3-4

Have you ever trudged through deep snow? Do you sink into the snow as you walk or glide across the top? Living in a winter wonderland may be fun but it also comes with its own unique set of challenges... Come help us solve the Mystery of the Sinking Winter Critters and see if you can engineer for our animal friends a (scientifically) better way to get around in the snow!

Grades 5-6

Ice is always cold ... or is it? Create your own "hot" ice using chemistry! Chemical reactions will also help you survive outside in the frigid winter air. Engineer your own hand warmers to keep the frostbite away as the temperature continues to plunge.

$45. Click here for complete details.
