This month the Westmont Daytime Book Group is discussing mentoring relationships - their importance, and how to establish them.  

This is such an important topic, and yet it is difficult to find advice to finding mentoring relationship. Here is a pretty basic first reading: 

There is a guidebook produced by Davidson that is available online here:    

And then out of Kentucky from Roberts and Inman Mentoring And Your Child, an article published in some magazine, and photocopied for this link. 

These will get us started on a discussion focused on finding mentors for our kids.

Bring your favorite morning brew and join us for a discussion of this month's topic and how it relates to your parenting challenges. Reading the above is not required. The objective is to use the reading to frame the discussion with other parents who face the same kinds of parenting challenges you do, but bring what you have and what you know and we'll go from there.
