For more than 30 years, the annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration at the DuSable Museum of African American History has encouraged attendees to reflect on Dr. King’s vision of justice, equality and freedom for all, during a day filled with lectures, performances, films and much more.The theme of the 2020 Celebration, FOCUSED ON FREEDOM, was inspired by one of Dr. King’s quotes on freedom:”We know through painful experience that freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor, it must be demanded by the oppressed.”Please join us on Monday, January 20, 2020as we “Focus On Freedom” during  our annual “King Day Celebration.
