ONLINE The Pajama Seminars: Breaking Down Writer's Block for Youth

  • March 31, 2020
  • 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • StoryStudio Chicago, Zoom seminar

Even the most experienced writers find themselves facing a brick wall: we can’t seem to push forward in a story or poem and we suddenly stop. Our creative juices dry up like a popsicle on a scorching sidewalk in the middle of summer. How do we find our way back into a piece when that happens?

There are many ways of breaking through that wall. It’s a matter of viewing our work from a new angle and seeing what direction that might take us. Often we discover a hidden trait in a character or an unexpected detail in a place.

In this session, get ready to hammer away at writer’s block with strategies to get us right back into a piece, or how to begin on an empty page. We’ll fill our creative toolbox with fun gear you can use every time you sit down to write.

Available to students grades 9-12. Any skill level is welcome! $55
