Book Club Discussion
& Virtual Coffee

You’re invited to join hosts Violeta Balan, a CGCC parent along with Katherine Peterson, a SENG Model Parent Group Facilitator, in an online book club conversation created to support your journey as parents of gifted children.

This week, we will continue to talk about sensitivity, also known as the highly sensitive person (HSP), and how that may relate to our gifted children.  We will focus on discussing strategies to help our highly sensitive children.

Our discussion will be based on a combination of two articles and a book. The book is  “The Highly Sensitive Child” by Elaine Aron, Ph.D, and it is available in paperback, Audible and Kindle versions.  The articles are: “Experience and Processing, The Funnel and Cylinder Analogy of Giftedness” by Shulamit Widawsky and “Is it a Cheetah?” by Stephanie Tolan. Please read what you can and register, if you would like to participate.  Log in details and a few questions to encourage reflection are sent in a confirmation email after you register.

Welcome to you all, with whatever time you have to partake in building our gifted community through reading, understanding and conversation.  Please reach out with any questions to Katherine Peterson or Violeta Balan.

Next book discussion: July 16, 2020.
