Colleges and universities across the country have struggled to decide whether to keep campuses open, offer online instruction exclusively, or institute some combination of the two. For this webinar, FAN has invited back Laurence Steinberg, Ph.D., Distinguished University Professor and the Laura H. Carnell Professor of Psychology at Temple University, to discuss how our understanding of adolescent development can and should inform this difficult decision. He presented two talks for FAN in 2014 for the release of his bestselling book Age of Opportunity: Lessons from the new Science of Adolescence.

Prof. Steinberg is a leading expert on adolescence and is the author of nearly 500 articles and essays on development during the teenage years, and the author, co-author, or editor of 17 books.

Prof. Steinberg will offer an overview of his research into the risk-taking behaviors of young adults and their capacity for self-control.
