SENGinar: Incorporating Cultural Responsiveness through Online Learning in Advanced-Level Classrooms

In today’s age of virtual and distance learning, educators of gifted diverse populations must be equipped with resources and strategies that support equity and promote their academic success. Being culturally responsive is essential in online learning especially for advanced level classrooms on the primary and secondary level.

During this session, participants will be equipped with research, various strategies, and resources that can help incorporate cultural responsiveness through blended and online format while building rigor and relevance in the advanced level classroom. Participants understanding how to incorporate cultural responsiveness through an online platform for diverse gifted students is critical for their academic success and motivation. Participants will also have an opportunity to share with other advanced level teachers and leaders on adjusting their curriculum and instructional practices to reflect cultural responsiveness aligned to common core and state standards through online learning.
