CGCC Book Club & Virtual Coffee: Self-care

Book Club Discussion
& Virtual Coffee

You’re invited to join hosts Violeta Balan, a CGCC board member along with Katherine Peterson, a SENG Model Parent Group Facilitator, and board member in an online book club conversation created to support your journey as parents of gifted children.

This week, we will continue discussing the topic of mindfulness and focus our chat on various self-care practices for parents. We are suggesting this book by a local teacher and renowned  author: Planting Seeds of Mindfulness: Creating the Conditions to Help Gifted Kids to Flourish and Bloom Intellectually, Emotionally, and Spiritually by Michele Kane & Dorothy A. Sisk. However, if you have read or prefer other mindfulness books, please feel free to revise those and share with us your thoughts on the topic.

Log in details are sent in a confirmation email after you register.  Katherine has shared a mindfulness practice recording for us to consider using, if needed.

Next meeting  will occur in two weeks on March 11, 2021.

Welcome to you all, with whatever time you have to partake in building our gifted community through reading, understanding and conversation.  Please reach out with any questions to Katherine Peterson or Violeta Balan.
