2021 Women in Science: Virtual Keynote

Join us to kick off our annual celebration of women in science with this interactive presentation featuring philanthropist and conservationist, Kristine Tompkins.

Supporting women in science is essential to advancing conservation, research, and entrepreneurship in the sciences. The Field Museum welcomes these leaders with the 2021 Women in Science virtual keynote. This year, hear from Kristine Tompkins, co-founder and president of Tompkins Conservation and the UN Patron of Protected Areas. The former CEO of Patagonia, she’s spent the last 25 years protecting and restoring biodiversity in Chile and Argentina. She currently serves as chair of National Geographic Society’s Last Wild Places campaign. Conservation leader Wendy Paulson will moderate the discussion with Tompkins. A live audience Q&A follows.

Tickets start at $300. The virtual keynote is available online, 12:30–1:30pm CST, to ticket holders and sponsors, and their guests. For more details, please see here.
