Summer Tween Club: Becoming a Scientist (Plants)

Middle-schoolers can find out what it takes to be a scientist in this one-day, Saturday virtual club.

How do scientists see the world around us? What tools do they use to make discoveries about life on Earth and natural habitats and history? Preteens ages 11–14 can find out this summer with our virtual tween club.

Join a one-day, Saturday club from 9:30am–1:30pm. Middle-school science-lovers can learn what it takes to be a field observer. They’ll hear from real scientists at work in the field across and beyond Chicago. They’ll get a break from 11:30am–12pm to grab lunch, play outside, and complete the midday activity. Club members then rejoin the club in the afternoon and share what they discovered in the habitats close to home.

One ticket is required per household, per club session. Tickets are $30 per class—or save with a bundle of all four classes for $100. Members enjoy a 15% discount on tickets. Space is limited. Ticket sales end 24 hours before the start of each club session.

For more details, please see here. For other dates of the same club, check out their calendar
