Prof. Shane Larson, Associate Director of CIERA (Center for Interdisciplinary Exploration & Research in Astrophysics), will be presenting a virtual lecture hosted by the Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory in Bend, OR on Thursday, December 16th. In this virtual lecture entitled, Astronomy Frontiers: 30 years ago and 30 years from now, Dr. Larson will be discussing the tapestry of astronomical technology and knowledge 30 years ago, examine how our perceptions of the Cosmos have changed dramatically in the short time since then, and speculate wildly on what the future may hold. This virtual event has a $5 registration fee per household. All members of the public are welcome to register.
