Ask-A-Scientist

Attend an online lecture, talk to scientists, engineers, technicians and take a virtual tour of Fermilab.

Program: Take science questions straight to experts. Lab staff answer questions and explain everything from the Big Bang to how a particle accelerator works.

When: 1 PM to 3 PM on the first or second Sunday of the month.

Where: Online via Zoom

Suggested audience: adults and students with a keen interest in science! The presentation and tone is set for high school students - college freshman.

"DUNE, the next-generation neutrino catcher" - Tanaz Mohayai, Fermilab

Despite being everywhere, neutrinos are incredibly challenging to catch; we need to produce large numbers of them and place giant detectors with unprecedented technologies in their paths. The next-generation Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment, DUNE will do just that. Join Fermilab Neutrino physicist, Tanaz Mohayai, to learn more about DUNE.
