Does your gifted child complain that school work is boring or not meaningful?  This is a common reaction of intellectually curious students to the content and teaching methods used in traditional schools.  Most schools focus on procedures at the expense of thought.  In this presentation we will discuss why traditional education is so boring and how this can be remedied through a robust emphasis on free thinking and critical inquiry to engage your child to enjoy learning again.

About our Presenter:

Alex Wolfram is the founder of Hutchins Academy a new Socratic Great Books based in Chicago.  Alex was home-schooled from first grade through the end of high school.  As a teenager he founded and ran a home renovation business.  Alex has taught history in public schools at middle and high school levels.   Alex holds a B.S. in Social Science from the Shimer School of Great Books at North Central College and an M.A. in Secondary Education from the University of  Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

No refunds unless workshop is cancelled. Fee waivers available. Contact us for details.
