Join us to hear directly from a Chicago Public School Principal tips and advice on how to advocate for the gifted student via the teacher or the principal, overcome roadblocks and create partnerships to advance your child’s learning.  Supplemental materials that can be easily implemented in class by the teacher will be discussed during the meeting. Finally, the dream scenario of a school which can meet the needs of gifted children will be introduced.  Feel free to submit a few questions ahead of time and our speaker will do his best to answer them!

Mr.  Major has been a Chicago Public Schools principal for 5 years and he is part of Principal Fellows and Principal Advisory Council. He is also a former member of IAGC board,  former member of Math Circles of Chicago, former math coach for 50 NW side schools, former instructor at Center for Talent Development and he taught gifted math in the options program of Beaubien 2007-2012, 5th to 8th grade.  He also has a Doctorate from National Louis and his dissertation included a portion about reaching the undeserved gifted population of students.
