Join us to discuss how rejection and failure are important skills that are necessary in academics because they teach our children how to truly learn, promote resilience and foster empathy.  This talk will be given by a CPS Principal and a consumer anthropologist and will include time for Q&A.  Feel free to submit a few questions ahead of time and our speakers will do their best to answer them!

Mr.  Jason Major has been a Chicago Public Schools principal for 5 years and he is part of Principal Fellows and Principal Advisory Council. He is also a former member of IAGC board,  former member of Math Circles of Chicago, former math coach for 50 NW side schools, former instructor at Center for Talent Development and he taught gifted math in the options/gifted program of Beaubien 2007-2012, 5th to 8th grade.  He also has a Doctorate from National Louis and his dissertation included a portion about reaching the undeserved gifted population of students. 

Ms. Gina Fong is a consumer anthropologist, insights coach, and keynote speaker at Fong Insight. She coaches organizations around the world to understand the insight into their customers to build cherished brands. She also teaches at The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and transforms the classroom into a curiosity gymnasium to inspire her students to think with their head, heart, and gut.
