Family Matinee: Philharmonia Fantastique — The Making of the Orchestra

Created by former CSO Mead Composer-in-Residence Mason Bates, Oscar-winning sound designer and Steven Spielberg collaborator Gary Rydstrom and animator Jim Capobianco (Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc.), Philharmonia Fantastique: The Making of the Orchestra is a virtuosic concerto featuring orchestra and animated film. The piece zooms inside orchestral instruments to discover how sound is made and brings the instrument families together in a spectacular, pulsing finale. Perfect for ages 5 and up!

Two performances: 11:00 am and 12:45 pm

Tickets range in price from $5 - $85.
