As part of Lyric’s annual Sunday in the Park with Lyric concert, in Chicago's Millennium Park, children and their adults are invited to join us in Lyric’s Art-See Jamboree. This event provides a fantastic opportunity for everyone to become familiar with the Opera in the Neighborhoods program and upcoming production of Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World through engaging storytelling sessions.
Storyteller Jasmin Cardenas will interpret the Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World book live at 11:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, and 1:30 PM, providing a preview of the upcoming performance tour. Attendees can also create art with the William Estrada Mobile Street Art Cart Project, enjoy live music with DJ Jawon, take photos, collect swag bags, and learn about Lyric's upcoming offerings.
As you wrap up your Art-See Jamboree experience, find a spot on the Great Lawn to enjoy an open dress rehearsal of Sunday in the Park with Lyric, starting at 2:30 PM. This will be a preview of our evening event, which begins at 7:00 PM.
Seating is first-come, first-served for this free event and no tickets are required.
Location: East Lawn, Millennium Park, 201 E Randolph St, Chicago.
