NAGC Literacy Task Force Community Conversation

  • May 12, 2026
  • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • online

This is a live event only. No recording will be available afterwards.

Join NAGC's Advanced Literacy Task Force for a Community Conversation on the literacy needs of gifted and twice-exceptional learners. As literacy policies continue to evolve across the nation, the needs of advanced readers remain largely unaddressed in policy and practice. During this session, task force co-chairs Sheyanne S. Smith and Chandra Floyd will provide a brief overview of the task force's work and invite participant input on current realities, emerging needs, and opportunities for NAGC leadership. We welcome perspectives from practitioners, researchers, and administrators working at the intersection of literacy and advanced learning. Your contributions will help inform NAGC's direction on this critical and timely issue.
