Parent Education Series

Gifted and ADHD

RESCHEDULED for June 14!

CGCC is partnering with Midwest Academy for Gifted Education (MAGE)  to present this free series.

Does my child have ADHD? How do you tease out the Dabrowski psychomotor excitabilities vs. ADHD? How do you know if they are energetic, or engrossed in their favorite things, or if it’s medical? At what point do you need to look for support, and what kind of support is out there for your family? Does it actually work? Who can help? Medication is scary but has been brought up to you, how do you learn more? What are strategies to help your child? Gifted characteristic traits overlap with ADHD. How do you know what side of the line you’re on?

Additional presentations in this series:

Sunday, May 3, 2020, 12:00PM-1:00PM, Planning ahead for college

Midwest Academy for Gifted Education, a parent and teacher not-for-profit start-up, is the only private gifted school in the City of Chicago. They focus only on the gifted population/IQ of 130+ and they teach in multi-age classrooms which allows them to differentiate properly. They provide individualized and personalized instruction with the right balance of rigor, without pressure. They top off a well-rounded education with personal communications and partnership with parents.
