The Anxious Family: What to Do When Everyone Frets

Presenter: Joanna Haase, Ph.D., MFT

Gifted children are often intense, driven, and struggle with overexcitabilities, perfectionism, and anxiety: Just like their parents!! Typically, parents and professionals focus on managing the children’s anxiety, overlooking how anxiety affects family life, family relationships, and family fun. Using examples of common “anxious families,” attendees will learn how anxiety is expressed in family relationships and learn strategies for changing the anxiety dynamic in their home. This workshop will help parents identify common anxiety “patterns” and provide practical, effective tools designed to help the entire family “tame the worry monster.”

Registration fee is $40. Click here for complete details.
