Gifted Moms and Dads:

Knowing Your Children By Knowing Yourselves

CGCC Parenting Gifted Seminar

meeting space is hosted by

Giftedness is for life! You don’t outgrow it. Parents of gifted children are often surprised when learning about giftedness to see similar traits as those of their children.  Many times there is a parallel journey as both parents and children learn, discover and understand more about the gifted Self.  For some, this is a time of both sadness and joy as there is finally a concept that captures the sense of being different.  Yet, there may be regret for lost opportunities. Reclaiming the gifted Self becomes an opportunity for personal growth and provides a new lens for parents through which to appreciate the strengths and challenges of their children.

This session will provide characteristics of gifted adults and how to recognize relevant personal qualities, whether or not they were identified as a child. Tips on managing the intensities, sensitivities and perfectionism, those salient features of the gifted adult, will be shared. This interactive session welcomes conversation, dialogue, and questions as well as those who wish to come and listen.

Come join the discussion. Register today!  Registration is free for CGCC members, a non-refundable $5 for non-members.  Won't you consider joining CGCC today?  Join
