Family Day

  • May 16, 2015
  • 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Art Institute, Chicago

Explore the world of three-dimensional art in the Ryan Education Center. Examine real objects close up through a detail-drawing activity and enjoy a special space for our youngest visitors (under age 5). Watch an artist demonstrate sculpture techniques, and create your own artwork. Participate in a program with Storytown, a children's improv theater group, where you can turn yourself into sculpture! Visit the exhibition Charles Ray: Sculpture, 1997-2014 on your own, or enjoy a family gallery walk with a focus on sculpture.

Please use the Modern Wing entrance at 159 East Monroe Street for access to the Ryan Education Center, where admission is always free!
