'Scopes in the City

  • May 09, 2015
  • 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Buckingham Fountain, Chicago

This summer and all year long, Adler astronomers and educators will bring the museum—and the Universe—a little closer to you! With ’Scopes in the City, Adler staff and volunteers will lead free telescope observing in Chicago neighborhoods.

The first ’Scopes in the City event of 2015 brought 300 people to Hibbard Elementary School, where they enjoyed pristine views of Jupiter, Venus, and the Moon on a clear evening in March. Watch for more events in city parks, libraries, schools, churches, and other community locations near you.
