  • January 30, 2016
  • 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
  • Science & Arts Academy, Des Plaines

NAGC, Center for Gifted, and Science & Arts Academy are proud to present:

Is My Preschooler Gifted?
A Parent and Child Workshop

This free workshop helps parents better understand their preschool child, with strategies to guide their discoveries and awaken their passions at home, school, and play.  Parents will have the opportunity to learn more about nurturing children’s talents through the following presentations:

· Characteristics & Traits of Young Gifted Children, Kathleen Nilles, National Association for Gifted Children
· Sparking Your Child’s Creativity & Curiosity at Home, Joan Franklin Smutny, Center for Gifted
· What are the Educational Options for My Young Learner?  Tim Costello, Science & Arts Academy

While parents are in session, preschool children (ages 3-5) will have the opportunity to participate in supervised activities such as art, math, science, and storytelling to ignite their imaginations. Trained preschool teachers will lead child activities.  (Please, no diapers; children must be toilet trained to attend.)
