Northshore Parenting Book Discussion

We meet one evening a month, more or less, to discuss different books or articles that are of interest to the group.  Come to all the discussions, or come to only those that specifically pertain to you.  Read the book in depth, skim it, or take a look at the cover on Amazon before your run out the door!  The objective is to use the

book to frame the discussion with other parents who face the same kinds of parenting challenges you do!

This month's book is

Searching For Meaning: Idealism, Bright Minds, Disillusionment and Hope

by James T. Webb

Many bright idealists find themselves disillusioned in today’s world, and they may experience existential depression as they examine their lives and search for meaningfulness. This book will help such individuals to understand themselves and their struggles. It also includes helpful information and suggestions for actions that disillusioned idealists can use to better manage their feelings and thoughts in ways that will nurture their idealism and provide a sense of satisfaction and contentment. ISBN 13 digit: 978-1-935067-22-1 $24.95 / Paperback 224 Pages  (from Great Potential Press)

Our sincerest gratitude to the Gifted Learning Center - Northshore for allowing us the use of their space for this event.

Next month's meeting is scheduled for November 14 - same time, same place.  Mark your calendars and register now.
