SOS for 2e Guest Speaker Event

Summer Success for the Gifted Child
April 17, 2017
Naperville Municipal Building – Room B
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

SOS for 2e welcomes back Carlene Bauwens to end our Guest Speaker Event for this school year.  Carlene only covered a fraction of the material in the October event so we are inviting Ms. Bauwens back to continue to learn supports for our 2e child(ren).  Ms. Bauwens will cover what structure is and is not.  Why it’s important to include our kids in determining this structure.  How to help our 2e learners transition from activity to activity without being overwhelmed.  And in what ways over scheduling our child(ren) does more harm than good.  Finally, Ms. Bauwens will discuss how to find your family’s balance during the summer so its productive and fun!

Carlene Bauwens works with people of all ages who are ready to move past their ADD/ADHD challenges, focus on their strengths and flourish in their personal, academic and business lives. As an ADHD Coach and parent, Carlene’s mission is to show people how ADHD is really impacting their family, to break the fail-and-punish cycle, and to embrace each other’s differences. Check out all of Carlene’s great resources on ADD/ADHD, executive functions, social skills, leadership and positivity at coachcarlene.com

She is a contributing author to the best-selling books, “More Ways to Succeed with ADHD” and “Wacky Ways to Succeed with ADHD.”

Carlene is a graduate of the ADD Coaching Academy and is a member of the International Coaching Federation. She is Certified in Life Coaching, ADHD Coaching, Positive Psychology, and as a Mental Health First Aid Responder. She successfully completed Executive Function training through Rush Neurobehavioral Center

SOS for 2e is primarily focused on providing support and solutions that empower the parents of 2e students to be better advocates for their unique gifted learners.
