Frog Monitoring Workshop (ages 10+)

  • February 21, 2017
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Edward L. Ryerson Welcome Center, Riverwoods

Join Lake County Forest Preserve biologist Gary Glowacki for a workshop dedicated to identifying and monitoring frog species in the county.

This workshop is for both beginning and experienced monitors. We’ll teach and review the calls of our 13 species of frogs and toads, help new monitors find survey sites, and discuss the monitoring protocol. Experienced monitors are encouraged to attend in order to learn any protocol changes, obtain data sheets, review frog calls, and share lessons learned from last year.

For more details about the Calling Frog Survey program please visit: http://frogsurvey.org. Please note that you only need to attend one workshop.

Please register ahead of the event.

Adults, families with children ages 10 and up.
