Dr. Michele Kane, a noted local expert on gifted children, will be speaking on meeting the social, emotional, and creative needs of homeschooled gifted children.


Michele is the head of the Gifted Education Master's Program at Northeastern Illinois University. She is on the Illinois Association for the Gifted Social and Emotional Committee. She has won numerous awards for her work in with gifted education and she speaks at gifted conventions across the country. Being the parent of six adult gifted children gives he additional insights into the quirks and uniqueness of gifted kids.


If you currently homeschool or are curious about the social-emotional benefits and challenges of homeschooling, please join us in this opportunity to speak with Dr. Michele Kane, sponsored jointly by the Chicago Gifted Community Center and the Homeschooling Gifted Students Parent Support Group.
