Bring your family, a picnic and a dessert to share with other CGCC families. Picnic and visit on the grounds of the beautiful Mayslake Peabody Estate starting around 7 p.m., then spread your blankets and set up your chairs on the grass in front of the stage. Show starts at 8:15 p.m. Stick around after the show and tour the set.

First Folio is offering a $5 discount to adults, seniors and students, so tickets will be $24 for adults and $21 for students and seniors.  Children 13 and under are $10. You will buy your tickets directly on the First Folio site.  Instructions and a promo code will be e-mailed to you once you register.

Shakespeare for the whole family? While it may not be for everyone, many young gifted children really respond to it. Older students benefit from actually seeing Shakespeare performed, rather than just reading his plays. As with much Shakespeare, the plot is twisting, so some find it useful to pickup a Shakespeare for kids book to read before the show, or watch some of the YouTube plot summaries that are available, though that will ruin the surprise!
