Student Skill and Team-building Workshop


Leslie Contos, a professional counselor experienced with giftedness and Twice Exceptional (2e) students, will be leading a team-building session along with hands-on skill building and role-playing for students .

  • Growth mindset, anxiety, and stress response
  • Responsibility and communication strategies for getting needs met while respecting needs of others, and how to seek help when needed.
  • Student generated, facilitator-led creation of list of factors in environments conducive to learning
  • Other strategies dependent on discussion results from Parent/Teacher Collaboration Workshop.

Parent Organizing Meeting, running concurrently


We understand that parents with younger kids may need to flex in and out of the planning work. We will take detailed notes for any parts you need to miss. 


The class will take place in the CUMC education building at 8237 Kenton Ave, Skokie, IL 60076.
