AN EVENING WITH UNDERSTOOD

MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR STUDENTS

WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES

Jessica Gordon

Naperville Municipal Building – Room B
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Understood is a non-profit organization that provides resources and support to parents and teachers. FACT - 1 in 5 children have learning and attention issues, such as ADHD, Dyslexia, Sensory Processing Disorder, Executive Functioning Issues and many more that require special understanding and support to achieve their potential. Our content is written in a variety of styles by experts that can be easily translated into the home and classroom for students to realize their capabilities.  Classroom strategies are a large component as well as providing ideas on how to support and help students manage all aspects of their lives regarding relationships with parents, peers, siblings and teachers.  Our online resources are available to everyone, and in some areas, we also provide in-person support groups, professional development trainings and can arrange experts as speakers for events- all for free. We are funded by 15 founding partners, all of which are focused on issues like literacy, education and disabilities.

You are invited to spend the evening with Jessica Gordon to explore and examine the tools that are available with Understood to start your student to a path of academic success.
