What does humanities scholarship look like?

Humanities Day, an annual tradition at the University of Chicago since 1980, celebrates the humanities with free discussions, tours, performances, and lectures featuring the latest research of our award-winning faculty in the Division of the Humanities.

The programming reflects the intellectual variety among the 200+ faculty members and the nearly 800 graduate students within the Division's 20+ academic departments, institutes, centers, and programs. In one day go from philosophy to cinema, ancient Rome to modern China, or live music to a contemporary art exhibit.
