The Gift of Failure
How the Best Parents Learn to Let Go So
Their Children Can Succeed

Speaker:  Jessica Lahey

What if the best way to motivate your kids and build their resilience was to take a step back and let them fail? Research has shown that a key to developing resilience in our children & students is intrinsic motivation, or that which comes from within. Speaker Jessica Lahey will summarize this current research and offer practical advice for fostering intrinsic motivation and weaning kids off of extrinsic motivators such as short-term rewards, bribes, and yes, even grades, giving them space to fail with the support and encouragement that they need to succeed.
