Northern Illinois Mini Maker Faire

  • October 27, 2018
  • 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Northern Illinois University, DeKalb

The Northern Illinois University community is excited to add the Northern Illinois Mini Maker Faire to STEMfest, an annual, hands-on celebration of all things STEM.  NIU STEAM organizes both STEMfest and the Northern Illinois Mini Maker Faire in collaboration with Northern Illinois University’s STEM departments, student groups, and regional partners.

NIU STEAM—a family of programs and curricular resources for students, educators, and community members is part of the Center for P-20 Engagement in Northern Illinois University’s Division of Outreach, Engagement, and Regional Development. For our programs, STEAM is more than the five separate content areas. STEAM is an approach to teaching and learning that not only addresses these disciplines but also explores the connections among the disciplines in ways that increase performance and equity for individual students and for schools.
