FROM PAGE TO SCREEN

Whether it be Classics from thousands of years ago, Fairy Tales that have been passed down for centuries, or Novels and Books of recent times, one thing can be counted on. The Movie version is going to be a LOT different than the original material! In this discussion and critical thinking class, we will take a look at different stories, their original content, and the films that were made based on them. Where did they change the most? Why did they change that part? What did you like or not like about the changes? We'll discuss it all as a group and see what discoveries we can make as well. Great for critical thinking, comprehension, and tactful group critiquing techniques

Lead Instructor: Rick Olson from EDGE Theatre NFP

Ages: 9 and up. Reading required. Interest in stories, mythologies, and Fairy Tales on their own encouraged.

Min/Max: 5/10

Price: $145

Notes: Majority will be "No Homework" but will have one project of doing a comparison on a book/story to a film on their own.
