Are you the type of parent who likes structure and order in your home, yet your child prefers an activie social life rather than an organized room or backpack? Would you love to have discussions about feelings and relationships with your child, but he prefers to spend time in his room with his books?

Join us to gain a better understanding of parenting styles and children's temperamants. Learn about strengths and challenges of each type. Discover approaches that feel more positive and effective. This presentation will explore 4 parenting styles ( Sensor, Intuitor, Feeler and Thinker) and 4 child temperaments (Fun-Loving, Sensitive, Determined and Serious). Parents will also receive practical tools and strategies to imporive daily interactions, ease power struggles and strengthen relationships with your children.

Beth has a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Loyola University of Chicago. She received her Parent Coach Certification® through the Parent Coaching Institute in affiliation with Seattle Pacific University. This is the only graduate level training program in the United States that offers certification in parent coaching. Beth began her career teaching students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders. Upon completing her Masters degree, Beth became a high school counselor. Beth then spent 15 years as Parent Counselor and Program Director at Tuesday's Child, a non-profit agency in Chicago.
